Launched in 2007, the Libya Fund is a private equity fund of US$ 100,000,000 focused on investing in Libya. CMH is the main sponsor and investment advisor of the fund, which is a Shari'ah compliant private equity fund established to invest in oil & gas, telecom, real estate, healthcare and industrial sectors in Libya. The fund has successfully completed its first two acquisitions in the energy sector involving companies providing drilling services for multinational oil companies operating in Libya. Investors in the fund include well known Islamic financial institutions from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
