Bakar Al-Sakin
Head of Legal & Compliance and Secretary to the Board

Bakar is a corporate lawyer with more than twenty years experience in the legal field. He obtained his LLB (Honors) from the University of Khartoum, Sudan 1984 and practiced law in Sudan, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, where he obtained his professional qualifications including the CPE, the LPC and a Masters Degree in Legal Practice. He previously worked in Bahrain for Arab Insurance Group and Bahrain Petroleum Company before joining CMH. Bakkar brings with him a very rich background in commercial legal practice and international corporate exposure.

R. Rajendran (Raj) FCA, FCCA, ACMA
Head of Financial Control

Raj is a Chartered Accountant from India and is a member of ACCA and CIMA of UK. His professional experience (24 years) commenced with Ernst & Young, followed by off-shore banks and Investment Companies in Bahrain and Kuwait and revolved around financial accounting, credit administration, investment accounting, venture capital accounting and fund administration in financial institutions. His last assignment was with Kuwait Investment Authority, Government of Kuwait.

Khalil M. Kooheji
Head of Human Resources and Administration

Khalil joined CMH with over 20 years experience from his previous employer, The Saudi National Commercial Bank - Bahrain, in the field of Banking, Human Resources & Administration, the majority of which was spent in Human Resources & Administration. Khalil has assisted in the development and achievement of CMH corporate objectives by developing the Human Resources policies and procedures. Khalil holds an Advance Banking Diploma obtained from Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance and several professional qualifications in Banking and Management.

Ahmed Ali Abdulrahim
Head of Operations

Ahmed joined CMH with over 20 years experience from his previous employer. Prior to joining Capital Management House, Ahmed served as Treasury Operations Manager with The Saudi National Commercial Bank in Bahrain and was responsible for day-to-day Treasury & Investment transactions these included Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, Islamic Products and Capital Markets. He managed Clients Portfolio Custody, maintained Externally Managed Funds records and he created and maintained a business relation with Correspondent Banks. Ahmed was part of the Implementation Team for SNCB Operating System. Previously, he was an Assistant Manager - Operations at BNP Paribas in Bahrain. Ahmed holds a BS in Banking & Finance from the University of Bahrain and MBA in Finance from AMA International University in Bahrain.

Arshan Merchant
Head of Internal Audit

Arshan brings a wealth of experience to the Internal Audit function of the Bank, with 12 years of experience in the audit field and a vast knowledge of conducting Risk Based Internal Audits, Corporate Governance good practices, BASEL II compliance and Financial Reporting Standards.

Arshan began his career as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG, Bahrain. Before joining CMH, he held the position of the Head of Internal Audit at Global Banking Corporation BSC (c) and Addax Bank BSC(c) and contributed his knowledge and experience as member of the Internal Audit at Gulf Finance House BSC.

Arshan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Mumbai University, India, as well as certificates as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Certified Information and System Auditor (CISA).

Syed Azher
Head of IT

Syed has a successful track record in design and implementing solutions for mid and large size financial institutions, government agencies and private companies within the GCC and internationally. Syed's extensive experience covers project management, security, audit, systems development and infrastructure (networking, datacenter, disaster recovery). He has obtained a number of professional certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute USA, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and ISO 27001 LA from British Standard Institute UK, together with several other CISCO and Security certifications.

Syed hold a BS in computer science and IT, and MBA.
