Sukuks

In terms of sukuk transactions, CMH was the lead manager for the US$ 200 million sukuk issue of Lagoon City, a real estate project being undertaken by Al-Ahlia Investment Company, one of the oldest investment companies in Kuwait. Lagoon City comprises of 401 sea front and 155 back bay plots that are a part of a much larger development, Kheiran Pearl City, in Kuwait.

CMH was the arranger for the US$ 100 million musharaka sukuk issue of A'ayan Leasing & Investment Company, a Kuwaiti closed shareholding company regulated by the Central Bank of Kuwait and is listed in the Kuwait Stock Exchange.

CMH was also co-underwriter for the US$ 200 million Diyaar Sukuk Company, Bahrain. Diyaar Sukuk is a special purpose company established for "Diyaar Al Muharraq project" in the North East of Bahrain. Sponsored by Kuwait Finance House, the project shall be a mixed community of residential, commercial & retail components.
